The CENTRAL LAKES CONCERT ASSOCIATION works with a talent agency called Allied Concert Services. They work with well over 100 smaller communities to provide a season of concerts every year that is right in their community, rather than driving to a metropolitan area in order to see good quality concerts. Our concert season consists of 6 concerts that run from September through May. We are able to choose from a wide variety of artists and styles.
The upcoming season will begin with a tribute to the Beatles, followed by trio consisting of piano, violin, and voice – all performing famous songs of Hollywood from the 30s through the 90s. Our season also features a jazz quintet, which is followed by a classically trained violinist and a classical guitarist duo who perform folk music from around the world.
The last part of the season will include a vocalist and a pianist in a show titled, “Stories from the Homefront.” The show immortalizes the brave men and women from ‘The Greatest Generation.’ In addition to the inspiring songs, the audience will hear narrative from personal interviews with veterans about their wartime experiences.
The last concert will be a virtuosic trio led by a world-renowned trumpeter, a former member of the famed Canadian Brass, in an evening of music honoring Louis Armstrong, Herb Alpert, and Doc Severinsen.
Members of the Central Lakes Concert Association may also attend the concerts in Sauk Centre, Wadena, Fergus Falls, and Ortonville/Milbank at no additional cost.
