Alex ArtGuild started in 2018, we work to bring visual artists together to form a cohesive, collaborative and cooperative artist community in the Alexandria area. Providing unique arts activities for the community to enjoy and the artists an opportunity to sell their artwork.
Through these activities our 60+ members have the opportunity to learn from other artists members and grow as an artists themselves. These relationships bring us together so that we can collaborate on more activities which can help expand art access to the general public
Come and join us for the Art deTour – an annual studio tour always held on Father’s Day weekend. With several artists in multiple locations, it is a joyful way to spend a lovely Spring day, driving to see what the Creatives have been doing during the Winter, and gives participants the opportunity to see studios of local artists and purchase artwork.
We also sponsor the Saturday Art Market, which is held every Saturday throughout the summer – SAM provides an opportunity to current and emerging artists/crafters to get their feet wet with selling their creations. It provides a festive atmosphere with art, music and food at Big Ole Park as you stroll among the booths and chat with artists!
In the fall, we hold the Arts & Crafters Tour which is a perfect setting to acquire hand-made goods by local artists and artisans.
